New Sessions begins March 3 to April 14 and April 21-May 12 Tuesdays 1:30-3:00 Ages 7-14 years Contact Lee at [email protected] SUMMER ART CAMPS Mornings June 1-12 The Sacred Heart Art Center 540 N. 31st _____________________________________ June 1-5 Picasso and the Art of Abstraction Moving from realism to abstraction with the use of color and composition, students will create a four-step work of art depicting a favorite animal. This is a great class for those who want to learn more about design and an appreciation for learning about abstract art in a positive way. $68 Ages 8-11 years 9:00-10:15 ________________________________ June 1-5 Figure Drawing Super Heroes Design your own super hero poster and learn the technique of action figure drawing $78 Ages 11 and up 10:30-12:00 ________________________________ June 8-12 Impressing the Impressionists Emphasis on drawing and painting $68 ages 8-11 9:00-10:15 $78 ages 12 and up 10:30-12:00pm ________________________________ NEW!!!!! Studio Painting Older students (7th grade and up) with experience in painting and drawing can join Lee Hotovy for studio art, in which students will have their own private space to explore drawing and painting with instruction from Lee. Easels and other materials provided. Meeting Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1:00-2:30pm. Space is limited. This is designed for students who wish to explore advanced techniques in painting and have a quiet, artistic space to work in. May 26 thru July 2/ 1:00pm-2:30pm Tuesdays and Thursdays/$90 per 6 classes or $150 per 12 classes. Supplies included. ______________________________________ Lee Hotovy has over thirty-five years experience working with children in the arts and received the Nebraska Young Artist of the Year award in 1991. FUN FRIDAYS PRESENTS: A PUPPET EXTRAVAGANZA Join S.T.A.G.E. Theater for the art of puppetry Students will perform using puppetry, lines, and dance. The Creation Story will unfold with music, humor, and exciting neon puppets set with black-light effects. Super Cool! No auditions necessary. Challenging and creative movements for older students, along with simpler puppetry for younger. Taught by Lee Hotovy |
